38 weeks per year, 30 hours per week 8:45am – 3:15pm (1/2 hour lunch break) We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and hardworking colleague to join our large and popular school. The school has a thriving nursery, is home to one of only two specialist Speech and Language units in the local authority and is proud to serve the local community of Wellington and beyond. As an EYFS Learning Support Practitioner, you will primarily work alongside a teacher to support children with their learning but will also have the opportunity to lead interventions. You will be part of a dedicated team of people and be fully involved in the life of the school. We are looking for a colleague who already has some experience of working in an EYFS/Nursery setting. You will need to: Have a passion for inclusion, diversity, and equality Have the highest expectations of yourself and the children Work as part of a team to remove barriers to learning to engage and inspire all learners. Know how to support pupils’ learning and development. Be flexible and adaptable Hold all children with unconditional positive regard and respond to them calmly and consistently, with warmth, care and empathy.
