You will learn how to design sustainable buildings of all shapes, sizes and uses; from hospitals to homes, from data centres to offices, and so much

more ! Our apprenticeship programme allows an opportunity to study for an academic qualification as well as gaining professional experience on our projects at the same time! You will be able to develop your technical skills through a variety of projects that you will take on as well as being supported in the development of your softer skills. We are looking to welcome an apprentice who is eager to learn and develop a career in sustainable building design. What the role looks like You will: Work with us full time Attend the University of Exeter for part-time study in two-week study blocks throughout the year Gain BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering Gain IEng status What you will learn with us Preparation of simple calculation packs to support design development Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes and distribute actions Attending and contributing to project team meetings Managing own workload to meet project and study deadlines Liaising with internal and external team members, developing relationships and people skills Gaining experience in the preparation of reports, drawings and specifications 3D modelling with Revit What will you need to succeed? A Level: ABB

– GCE AL Maths Grade B and another science subject at grade B required. Candidates may offer GCE AL Maths, Pure Maths or Further Maths. IB: 32/655

– HL5 in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and HL5 in another Science subject. Applicants achieving IB Maths SL7 plus IB HL5 in Physics will also be considered. BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM.

Applicants studying one of the following BTEC Extended Diplomas will be considered: Applied Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Building Services Engineering Construction and the Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Sustainability. T Level: Distinction

– in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing. GCSE: 4 or C –

required in English Language and Mathematics. And: Genuine interest in a career in civil engineering A keen attitude to learning and enthusiasm to achieve in the workplace and in your studies Confident communication skills both written and verbal Enjoy learning how to use the latest digital technology.
