Role Purpose
The Dangerous Goods Specialist is responsible for the approval of all Dangerous Goods items shipped from the MW1 facility, including but not limited to labeling, documentation, reporting, and decision-making on package safety for shipments being shipped by air or ground on RFS. This position follows the dangerous goods training specific to the regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). He/she is responsible for all Dangerous Goods shipments shipped from the MW1 facility and remains abreast of the current and changing regulations to ensure they are informed on the latest regulatory requirements. This position implements changes to processes resulting from regulatory updates to maintain compliance.
What you will be doing
Attend safety training and environmental training using existing training material and presentations to keep operators updated on regulations.
Create and update the database to provide accurate information.
Complete all DG checks in compliance with IATA and Airline specific regulations.
Assist with ensuring the facility is up to safety standards by making sure that all DGR items are treated as per IATA and Menzies safety regulations.

What we are looking for
Must have extensive cargo documentation processing experience.
Must have 5+ years of experience with DG.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must have a valid DG CAT. 6 training.
Should have the ability to plan and prioritize.
