Are you a versatile individual who seeks new challenges? We have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join our Development Experience team as a Liaison Engineer on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract.

The role: As a Liaison Engineer, you will deliver a personal, effortless, and timely customer service journey. You will own a customer's journey from requisition through to handover to the business. You will be responsible for managing projects ranging in complexity. You will work with Lloyds Accredited Self-Lay Providers and our Delivery Partners to ensure projects are delivered safely on budget, and to the required quality. As part of your role, you will provide onsite presence for the customer; to be the key contact at the time they need it and to provide assurance on works delivered. Key Responsibilities: Through having a site presence, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a variety of customer projects including large single one-off connections, new mains, diversions, and reinforcements including delivery of large, multi-phase developments. Protect the quality of the Affinity Water network to ensure development is sustainable and compliant with water quality. You will hold our delivery partner to account on safety, quality, cost, and timescales as per the NEC4 requirements. You’ll be motivated to ensure that schemes are developed and delivered to a high quality, timescales, and compliant with CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements. Ensure that the safety, health, and well-being of self, colleagues, consumers, and customers is continuously improved and put at the forefront of everything we do. Process customers service connection requests including reviewing site readiness and/or processing of WIAP certification.

What you’ll need: You’ll have experience in a similar regulatory environment and you'll bring with you an understanding of the relevant health, safety, environment, and quality regulations and industry standards. You’ll be motivated to ensure schemes are developed and delivered to a high quality, timescales, and are compliant with CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements. Crucially, you’ll recognise the value of exceptional customer service and be able to demonstrate great communication, engagement, and empathy when working with customers and stakeholders at all levels. You will need a full UK driving licence and be prepared to travel.
