The role will require staff to travel to any Croydon Libraries and community outreach locations such as schools and community centres. About the Role:
From April 2025, Croydon Libraries will be operating a new service model. To deliver this, we are looking for people who have a passion for customer service and for working as part of a team delivering Croydon’s library services directly to our customers and through outreach into communities. The postholder will be responsible for: Promoting the library service to the community and maximising participation by co-ordinating promotion of library events. Supporting print and digital promotion and correspondence. Managing and promoting the hire of library spaces, liaising with local staff and community partners. You will need to be: Customer focused with excellent communication skills. Interested in libraries and serving Croydon’s diverse communities. A good team worker across all 9 of Croydon’s libraries and outreach locations. Knowledgeable in promoting library activities in person and online via social media.
