How YOU make a difference
Provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.
Be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team and build trusted relationships with residents, families, and teams through effective communication.
Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make changes as required.
Complete and ensure resident’s clinical care assessments, care plans, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Teach, delegate, and direct unregulated care providers, providing coaching & mentorship.
What YOU bring
Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable province
Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers preferred
Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long-term care an asset
Strong drive, respect, and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
