At Beeston Rise, we are looking for someone who can engage, create fun, listen to the residents, be empathetic to their needs, and maintain a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere. This is an important and enjoyable position!
This is a full-time role, requiring work every other weekend.
As a Lifestyle Lead, you will plan activities that are promoted and implemented in the home for all residents, appropriate to their needs and requests, and in line with principles, policies, and procedures for person-centred care, clinical care, and dementia care.
Responsibilities within the role of Lifestyle Lead include:
Promote, motivate, inspire, and mobilise other activities and care team members in providing meaningful, enjoyable, engaging, and stimulating activities to support person-centred care for residents.
Create and manage the rota for the activities team.
Support the regular review of all activities programmes to assess effectiveness, revising and refreshing activities for all residents.
Build strong and positive external links within the local community for the home.
Ensure charity events organised by or within the home are successful.
Plan and initiate a monthly rolling/individual programme and encourage clients to maintain pre-existing hobbies.
Encourage staff members, relatives, and friends to participate in the care home’s activities.
Accompany clients to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours.
Create an atmosphere that suits individual clients within the care home.
Lead or assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainment, materials, and outings.
Provide comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for clients who are unable to undertake any form of activity.
