Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing specialist that provides high-performance solutions for demanding environments, to recruit a Lifting Engineer for its HPC site.

The Lifting Engineer role is critical to the success of the project and comes with a salary of £71,867, opportunities for overtime, and where required, accommodation allowance and travel.

As the Lifting Engineer you will: Perform technical reviews of lifting-related contract documentation. Manage formal communications for all contractual documents related to lifting (NCRs, FCRs, RFIs, CEs, etc.). Define and mitigate operational and technical risks associated with site lift plans. Ensure compliance with statutory and client specifications. Create and maintain all lifting documentation (lift plans, RAMS, etc.). Provide technical expertise for lifting operations. Lead a team of up to 16 riggers/slingers. Supply and maintain all registers associated with lifting activities. Host internal and external (client) audits related to lifting operations. Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following: Experience in the nuclear sector. Extensive experience creating complex lift plans, with proficiency in AutoCAD. Leadership experience. Strong understanding of ISO standards. Experience working in fast-paced environments and complex work areas. Client-facing skills. CPCS A61 Appointed Person Blue Card (Minimum). ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads and TAP01 (Desirable). NVQ Level 3 - Steel Erecting and Moving Loads. IOSH Managing Safely. Personal Skills

The Lifting Engineer role would suit someone who is: A strong verbal and written communicator. Professional and proactive in client engagement. Able to work individually or as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines and targets. Skilled in prioritising and managing complex workflows. Technically adept in problem-solving.
