A time-served electrical engineer with good fault-finding skills is required for our Lighting Design Department. You will be required to provide a full range of product application guidance and technical support to our sales teams, external lighting design engineers, and other customers such as electrical wholesalers, consultants, and contractors. Responsibilities

Carry out commissioning on all Dextra Group's lighting control and emergency testing systems. Manage projects from conception to completion. Diagnose and possibly rectify issues with installed lighting systems. Provide reports and documentation on commissioning and rectification work. Carry out minor on-site rectification of our products on sites across the country. Follow all quality control guidelines set by the company. Adhere to the company’s ISO procedures. Follow the company’s Health and Safety Policy work instructions and safe systems of work. Occasionally stay overnight locally to the site being worked on. Negotiate customer expectations and demonstrate good social and interactive skills. Post Requirements

Full UK driving license essential. City and Guilds level 2 Electrical installations or equivalent preferred but not essential. 18th Edition trained preferred but not essential. Knowledge of the lighting industry is an advantage. Knowledge of electrical installations is an advantage. Knowledge of computer networks is an advantage but not essential. Organised work style. Polite and confident on the telephone. IPAF preferred but training and qualification will be provided. CSCS (The Construction Skills Certification Scheme); candidate will be given full training to gain relevant access to building sites. Hours:

8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with some out of hours working.
