LIMS Laboratory Support Graduate WHAT IS ON OFFER Alfred H Knight is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a LIMS Laboratory Support Graduate based at our Head Office in Liverpool, UK. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting laboratory personnel with IT-based systems, acting as a vital liaison between our IT team and laboratory projects. As you grow with us, you’ll have the opportunity to advance into a managerial position, leading a small team dedicated to ensuring seamless IT support for our laboratory operations. You will undergo an 18 month training program which will involve 9 months where you will be placed in the laboratories and perform ongoing laboratory work in order to understand the day-to-day processes of the working laboratories. Following this, there will be a further 9 month period where you will be integrated into the Laboratory Support Team where you will be learning about the various IT systems that are currently in place, and how to support them. Responsibilities Creating, monitoring and supporting the development of laboratory based IT projects to help with the continual improvement of Laboratory systems and processes. Ensuring all relevant parties are kept up to date with ongoing developments. Training users in various newly developed and existing systems where required. The design and modification of LIMS templates to meet the criteria and specifications designated by the laboratory. The design and maintenance of other Google Sheet based IT infrastructure systems. Ensuring the above mentioned responsibilities are carried out within the designated QC framework. Managing the workload and team in their daily activities and projects. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE Essential Adaptable to new ways of working/thinking. Good at problem solving. Communication: Good interpersonal skills able to communicate (verbally/written) and liaise professionally at all levels within the Company. Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail and accuracy. A team player with dignity and due respect for fellow colleagues. A proactive approach working from your own initiative. Capable of managing multiple priorities. Good time management. Ability to work individually. Required Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or similar.
