In this role, you will manage output, productivity, quality, and personnel within your assigned cell. You will also train and develop direct reports and manage the discipline of all employees within the cell.

Job Purpose:

Production Management:

Monitor daily output, track trends in productivity, quality and inventory, and implement necessary improvements. Staff Performance:

Manage staff performance, address underperformance, conduct disciplinary investigations, and provide coaching. Staff Administration:

Oversee attendance, manage holidays and sickness records, and conduct return-to-work interviews. Training and Development:

Ensure operators are trained on SOPs, maintain training records, and identify skill gaps for development planning. Health and Safety:

Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and maintain a safe working environment. Continuous Improvement:

Drive process improvement, support value streams, and foster a culture of continuous change. SOP Management:

Update and audit SOP documentation as per change control procedures. Housekeeping and 5S:

Lead 5S initiatives, ensuring high housekeeping standards are met in the cell. Operational Support:

Assist in trial planning, support sampling, and escalate operational issues to relevant departments.

Ideal Candidate: Good verbal and written communication. IT literate (Microsoft Office). Experience working with MRP systems. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing philosophy. Positive attitude towards changes and development. Understanding of manufacturing operations within the assigned area. Problem solving skills and initiative. A team player and leader, who can motivate and deal with conflict in an appropriate and professional manner.
