What you'll be doing

Due to development and growth, Greencore Warrington are looking to employ Line Technician within our Packing department on afternoon shift.

To apply for the role, you must be at least 18 years old and available work for full time.

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 5pm-00:30am

Pay Rate: £14.48 per hour

Working within an exciting and fast paced environment, you will be a key member of our team and will ensure the service we provide to our customer is of exceptional quality. The role can be physically demanding with a good amount of pushing, pulling and lifting involved. Further duties of the role include:

  • Deliver line/area productivity and efficiently targets, resolving problems and issues as they arise, produce ingredients or goods in line with the agreed production plan.
  • Continuously monitor raw materials/ingredients, all operational processes and the overall production environment to ensure that all activity comply with food safety manufacturing standards
  • Monitor the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE), highlighting trends and issues to ensure asset performance is consist and reliable
  • Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with procedures, corrective actions and completes near miss reporting, to promote a safe working environment.
  • First line maintenance and basic Plan Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Strip downs and rebuild of manufacturing equipment
  • Provide training of operational staff
  • Assist engineers with break downs
  • Basic fault finding and prevention of breakdowns

What we're looking for

  • Ideally worked in Manufacturing previously
  • Experience delegating tasks to a team
  • Good level of English and Math's
  • Technically minded and computer literate
  • Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised
  • Good communication skills
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to help team in times on demand
  • Basic understanding of health & Safety and Food Hygiene (although training will be given)
