Linsco are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a reputable client of ours who are a 5 star house builder. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for managing all costs relating to our projects. Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. This will also include procurement, subcontract management inclusive of administration of the contract, monthly payments, and final account settlement. RATE NEGOTIABLE Main Responsibilities: Customer focused mindset. Work within an Operational delivery Team for your sites. Managing less experienced member(s) of the Surveying Team. Prepare Commercial section of Site Start Execution Plans for your schemes. Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packages. Negotiation and Analysis of sub-contractor tender returns. Producing tender recommendations for sub-contract work package awards. Completion of sub-contract orders and variations. Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts. Completing bi-monthly CVRs. Robust Cost reporting and Budget control. Attending site project meetings. Responsible for project lead with HA, including prepare and issue monthly HA valuations, cash flow forecasts, key date trackers. Essential Experience, Qualities and Qualifications: HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent Experience of working within the Construction industry for a residential housing developer Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills Strong mathematical ability Ability to assess and analyse information Good business sense Good understanding of budget management Negotiating and networking skills Enthusiastic Flexible Able to work within a busy team environment and under pressure Eye for detail and accuracy Ideally you will be willing to work extra to meet deadlines as and when the business needs will require you to do so If you feel you have the relevant experience for this role, please apply with your CV.
