Must be British-born with no dual nationality. Candidates must already hold a high level of security clearance. We have an urgent contract opportunity for an experienced Linux Engineer with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This role requires on-site presence five days a week in the South West of England due to the sensitive nature of the work. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain RHEL systems across various environments. Install, configure, and deploy RHEL systems and applications. Implement security policies, system hardening, and regular patching. Develop automation scripts using tools like Ansible or Shell scripting. Provide second- and third-line support for RHEL systems. Monitor and optimise system performance and resource utilisation. Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery processes. Maintain comprehensive system documentation. Requirements: 5+ years experience managing RHEL in enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of system security, including SELinux and firewalls. Familiarity with virtualisation platforms like Hyper-V or VMware. Experience working in air-gapped environments with offline repositories is desirable. RHCSA or RHCE certification preferred.
