LITHO ASSISTANT - PERMANENT
Eurostampa UK have an exciting opportunity to join our Wet Glue department as a Litho Assistant. You will be responsible for assisting the Litho Printer on shift, checking all elements of the job including paper, ink, plates, and rollers.
Please note, this role will be working out of our Glasgow site until February 2025 and will then be based out of Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Making ready checking all elements including paper, ink, plates, rollers etc are correct and in place
Preparing materials for set up of new jobs
Problem-solving to ensure the efficient running of the printing press
Fitting printing plates to machine
Ensuring all print procedures are followed at all times
Assist in regular general maintenance of the machine
Ensuring machinery and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy
All other duties as and when required
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Able to work on their own initiative & collectively as a crew
Good eye for colour, detail & accuracy
Proficient in numeracy & literacy
Reliable & possess an excellent timekeeping/attendance record.
Flexible approach to changing work priorities and an ability to work to strict deadlines
Full flexibility is required including cross-training between departments
The job will involve heavy manual handling and treble shift working.
