A leading law firm in Manchester is seeking a skilled Litigation Manager to join their Housing Litigation Department. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced legal professional with strong managerial skills to lead a team within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a team of litigation fee earners, providing guidance, support, and technical assistance as needed.
Act as the key point of contact for complex legal queries, particularly relating to the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Part 8 proceedings.
Lead the recruitment process for new team members, ensuring that high-caliber professionals are brought on board. Manage the onboarding process to integrate new staff effectively into the team.
Maintain a thorough understanding of ongoing litigated files, ensuring that all cases are managed efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
Build and maintain strong relationships both internally within the firm and externally with clients and stakeholders.
Identify areas for professional development within your team.
Ideal Candidate:
c. 4 years of experience in managing a team and handling litigated files, particularly within Housing Conditions/Disrepair.
Experience with the Proclaim Case Management System is advantageous.
Extensive knowledge of the CPR, including Part 8 proceedings. Familiarity with Housing Conditions/Disrepair is essential.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
