We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to a university student studying Film and TV at Royal Holloway University of London.

Englefield Green, Egham (TW20) Shift Pattern:

7 days on / 7 days off (live-in)

Rate of Pay & Benefits

Pay:

£150 per day / £1,050 per week Holidays:

5.6 weeks (pro rata) Bespoke training

in the client’s particular requirements will be provided. On-call support

from client coordinator.

About Our Client

Our client is a young man who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is an electric wheelchair user. He is a passionate and confident individual who is excited to start his first year at university. Studying Film and TV undergraduate degree at Royal Holloway University of London, the client is enthusiastic about production design, art, and media. He loves comedy, action, and sci-fi films like Star Wars, enjoys various music genres, and has hobbies such as playing the piano, Xbox, and drawing cars and aircraft.

We are looking for a positive, like-minded PA to assist our client with day-to-day living and general support at university with his studies, helping him to lead as independent a life as possible.

The client values tidiness and organisation and seeks someone who is compassionate, reliable, and proactive. He enjoys socialising and meeting new people but also values his alone time. This role goes beyond personal care; it includes engaging in fun activities like going out, seeing friends, day trips, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Assist with personal care, including dressing, showering, and using the hoist.

Support with daily living activities, housekeeping, and domestic duties.

Help with commuting to and from university.

Assist with physio programs and using equipment like the electric wheelchair and shower chair.

Engage in social activities and outings.

Requirements:

Physically fit, calm, patient, and caring.

Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

A mature and responsible attitude.

Proactive approach to work.

Good communication skills and a good sense of humour.

Reliable.

Non-smoker.

Clean and tidy in both appearance and ways.

Automatic Driving Licence (Desirable).
