Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Living With Cancer (LWC) Acute Project Manager at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospital. In collaboration with the Living with Cancer Programme, this key role ensures the LWC strategy for Lincolnshire is delivered across the acute trust, whilst also identifying and supporting improvements around the personalisation agenda for cancer patients.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting teams to deliver personalisation across cancer pathways and services by supporting operational and clinical teams with the implementation of the core elements within the Personalised Care agenda as per the NHS Long Term plan, using the comprehensive model of care as a driving force. The post holder will work primarily supporting PSFU (personalised stratified follow up) pathways specifically RMS (Remote monitoring system) to drive positive change.
They will be expected to provide expert leadership, organisational and management skills to ensure the alignment of national programmes alongside regional drivers are met as they work across the system. They will support clinical teams with the development of policies and processes to facilitate the implementation and delivery of improved personalised care and support for cancer patients. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the Cancer Services team within the acute Trust (ULHT) to support them in delivering the key LWABC priorities, leading on identified secondary care projects specifically PSFU and RMS.
To lead on the delivery of the secondary care aspects of the Cancer Recovery Package. These include embedding the Holistic Needs Assessment throughout the cancer pathways, embedding Treatment Summaries, supporting the design of Health and Wellbeing events and personalised stratified follow up (PSFU).
This role will include working closely with the Macmillan Development Manager within LWCCG to ensure a cohesive delivery approach.
This role will include working across the acute Trust with cancer multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), Matrons and Business Units.
This role will require effective communication with wider stakeholders including Clinical Leads and Managers, Macmillan Partnership Quality Lead and patients.
This role will require the ability to meet deadlines and lead on delivery of a defined secondary care projects within the acute Trust.
Job responsibilities
To provide comprehensive project management support to the MDTs in planning, embedding and reporting Treatment Summaries, supporting clinicians to deliver PSFU project outcomes that enable improved quality of life and experience for patients, with a standardised assessment and care planning process to enable more efficient use of resources. To provide project management for identified projects within secondary care to ensure operational delivery. Ensure that the appropriate infrastructures are in place to deliver service development within the organisation including information technology, and information systems to deliver quality and improved health outcomes as specified. Develop, maintain and lead on the project planning and implementation, adjusting as required to change demands or service needs within the scope of the project. Chair project meetings, coordinating meeting dates, agenda and leading the format of the meeting whilst contributing and assisting in the key areas of work to deliver the details and implementation of the project. Management of a risk and issues tracking mechanism and its proactive resolution and escalation processes. Maintain a detailed up to date knowledge of national / local primary care strategies, policies and guidance, as it will impact upon areas of responsibility, analysing trends and research.

Educated to Master's degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area. Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable
Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project.
Previous experience
Essential
Knowledge of the public sector and health service management. Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment. Demonstrated experience of planning and co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments. Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level.
Desirable
Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment.
