Lloyds Reporting Accountant Hybrid working – Commutable distance to London, Manchester or Birmingham local office. We are looking for a Lloyds Reporting Accountant to work with confidence and independence to draft solutions, address issues and implement results. You will ensure financial reporting to Lloyd’s is completed and delivered on time and desired quality level, in an effective control environment as well as producing Group SII reporting. As a Lloyds Reporting Accountant you will support team members with technical issues and/or IFRS group deliveries as well as actively contribute to the wider finance transformation program. Responsibilities Ensure production, quality assurance and delivery of required Lloyd’s returns (UK GAAP and SII Basis) for Syndicate. Preparation and quality assurance of statutory accounts. Improve and automate existing processes and then integrate them efficiently with the current Syndicate reporting process. Undertake ad hoc investigation and analysis work, as requested by management or external bodies, to agreed standards within agreed timescales. Support team with IFRS/SII group reporting delivery. Organize and drive continuous improvement groups and projects to increase efficiencies in finance processes through standardization, simplification and automation. Liaise with external and internal auditors. Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders. Knowledge and Skills Demonstrate detailed knowledge of UK GAAP, SII and IFRS. Have experience in end-to-end finance processes, such as Finance operations, Planning, Forecasting, Financial close, intercompany process and Reporting. Experience of managing and/or leading a range of accounting projects. Communicate with confidence and credibility at all levels. Strong relationship management skills to influence stakeholders and senior management. Analytical, critical thinker and problem solving attitude. Taking ownership and actively looking for personal learning and development opportunities. Highly organised, flexible and calm under pressure. Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred.
