Local Peoples is taking expressions of interest for talented and experienced design researchers who are passionate about making a positive impact on public sector services through design. You will be excited to join us and support our public sector clients working as an embedded team member in both contract and ongoing roles. Required Skills And Experience : Design and conduct user research and build insights from target users to understand motivations, pain-points and needs. Further, identifying the most effective research method based on tried and tested methodologies and processes for generative and evaluative research. Collaborate with multiple product teams to clarify and define research objectives. Plan and execute research activities to gain a deep understanding of the service's users. Work closely with designers and developers to translate user data into service requirements. Understanding of accessibility requirements for design, including the WCAG guidelines and public sector design guidelines. Expertise in conducting customer research, problem solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions. Strong background working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams in a large-scale digital transformation. Ensure design decisions are informed by quantitative and qualitative data and best practices. More than 4 years experience in a research role in a government environment. Experience with UX and UI design tools, to ensure recommendations can be made within the scope of design systems and delivery. Residency and Clearance : Hold a current ASGVA Baseline clearance or be able to obtain one. You must be an Australian Citizen. This role is open to Canberra based applicants. Who are Local Peoples?
