On behalf of the modern general hospital in Northern Ireland, I’m looking for a Chemical Pathology Physician with Metabolic Medicine experience.
Brief description of duties:
Outpatient Clinics – 3 PA’s + 3 PA’s admin + 1.5 SPA
Clinical Biochemistry Diagnostic and Clinical Liaison Service – 2 PA’s + 0.5 PA Lab governance meeting
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activity and teaching.
The post-holder will provide support for the Lipid / CV risk and diabetes services. The post holder will work alongside a team of Consultant Chemical Pathologists, Consultant and Principal Clinical Scientists and Specialist Trainees and will participate in the provision of clinical and diagnostic work within the department of Clinical Biochemistry.
Candidates will have specialist accreditation in Chemical Pathology (ideally including MRCP) and experience in the management of hyperlipidaemia and diabetes.
