Locum Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who must have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent qualification in Gynaecological Oncology and be registered in GMC's specialist register or be within six months of obtaining this at the time of interview, to join our team of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and two sub-specialist consultant Gynaecological Oncologists. This is a fixed-term post following the retirement of a third sub-specialist consultant.

Main Duties of the Job

The post will be based in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. The surgical cancer centre provides an on-call service for gynaecological cancer patients each week. We plan to cover 1:6 weekends along with our general O&G consultants. However, the on-call commitments for this post do not include any general gynaecology or obstetric cover. This is allocated 1.0 sessions. Both the on-call and weekend ward round commitments involve prospective cover.

There will be a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
