Main duties of the job
Brief duties include:
Reviewing patients on the renal wards and renal units as well as other wards in the hospital.
Undertake ward rounds
Performing outpatient clinics
Training/Supervising staff
Partaking in the on call rota as well as the medical on call rota
Reviewing patients in the Emergency Department/Acute Medical Unit where necessary

MBBS
Fully registered on the UK General Medical Council
Dual accreditation in Nephrology and General Medicine with the appropriate Royal College
MRCP (UK) or equivalent
Full GMC Registration

Fellow of Royal College of Physicians
Higher degree
Educational qualifications
ALS
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
High level of clinical experience and competence in Renal and General Medicine
Completed Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in Nephrology or evidence of equivalent competency
Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers and other staff
Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

A commitment to, and experience of teaching
