Conduct clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for mental health conditions. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with legal and organizational requirements. Offer support, guidance, and training to junior medical staff as necessary. Subspecialties Available General Adult Psychiatry Old Age Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAMHS) Addiction Psychiatry Forensic Psychiatry Liaison Psychiatry Perinatal Psychiatry Neuropsychiatry Rehabilitation Psychiatry Learning Disabilities Psychiatry Essential Requirements To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Medical Qualification : A recognized medical degree (e.g., MBBS or equivalent). Registration : Full registration with the
General Medical Council (GMC)
with a license to practice. Inclusion on the
Specialist Register in Psychiatry
(or eligibility for entry via CESR). Qualifications : Completion of
Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
in Psychiatry or equivalent. MRCPsych or an equivalent postgraduate qualification. Experience : Proven clinical experience in a psychiatric subspecialty. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex psychiatric conditions. Compliance Requirements : Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Right to work in the UK. Up-to-date mandatory training certificates (e.g., safeguarding, basic life support). Valid occupational health clearance, including evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. Skills and Attributes : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
