Sellick Partnership are currently working with a well-established law firm where an exciting opportunity has arisen for a locum criminal solicitor to work on their crime team in Barnsley.
About The Role
The successful Criminal Solicitor will be involved with the following duties:
Covering all aspects of work from police station attendances, Magistrates Court advocacy and Crown Court litigation.
Handling a caseload of work within the Magistrates Court.
Providing high standards of service to private and publicly funded clients.
Attending clients at police stations.
Providing advice and advocacy within the Magistrates Court.
Acting as Litigator on Crown Court cases.
Liaising with clients.
Applying for Legal Aid.
Managing a full caseload and ongoing work coming into the department.
Servicing your Duty Solicitor Rotas.
About You
The ideal Criminal Solicitor candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Be a qualified solicitor with ideally 3 - 5 years' experience.
An ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team.
A real passion for Criminal Law.
