Key Responsibilities:

Patient Preparation:

Assist patients in preparing for endoscopy procedures by ensuring they are comfortable, informed, and ready for the procedure. This includes taking pre-procedure observations (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed. Assisting in Procedures:

Support the clinical team during endoscopic procedures by preparing equipment, ensuring the sterile field is maintained, and assisting in positioning patients. Ensure that all tools and materials are ready and available for the procedure. Monitoring Patient Vital Signs:

Observe and monitor patients before, during, and after the procedure to identify any changes in their condition. Record vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing or medical team promptly. Post-Procedure Care:

Provide post-procedure support to patients, ensuring they are stable, comfortable, and recover appropriately. Assist patients with dressing and post-procedure instructions. Ensure that patients are safely discharged with appropriate follow-up information. Infection Control:

Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff. Assist in cleaning and preparing the endoscopy room and equipment according to hygiene standards. Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all relevant information, observations, and actions are recorded in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Patient Support:

Provide emotional and psychological support to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, offering reassurance and responding to any concerns or questions they may have. Ensure patients are aware of what to expect before and after the procedure. Equipment and Stock Management:

Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and organization of endoscopy equipment and supplies. Ensure that stock levels are regularly monitored and report any shortages or issues with equipment.
