Do you have previous vendor management experience within logistics operations?
If so, our Wellingborough based client is recruiting a Logistics Co-ordinator on a permanent basis to join their warehouse operations team.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate deliveries and collections of goods with customers via email and phone throughout Europe and the UK. Research various vendor options and select the best based on customer needs. Work with vendors to determine reasonable rates and coordinate timing and means of delivery. Handle vendor service issues such as poor product quality or delivery delays. Find solutions to budget limitations, vendor errors, and other problems as they arise. Keep accurate records of jobs on hand. Track orders from placement through to delivery. Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained. Provide import compliance for HMRC administrative support. Provide support to other areas of the business when required.
As well as having excellent communication skills, this role requires good planning and organisation skills. You will be working with the whole Microsoft package, therefore having intermediate IT skills/knowledge is essential, particularly in Excel. Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is also required.
