As a key member of our Logistics and Despatch team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and goods, directly contributing to optimised processes and exceptional customer satisfaction. As the Logistics & Despatch Team Leader, you will own the coordination of logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you’ll lead from the front, motivating your team to create value through process improvements, safety adherence, and operational efficiency. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Train, motivate, and develop a high-performing logistics and despatch team. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments via sea and air, ensuring compliance with international regulations. Manage lifting activities for packages exceeding 50 tonnes, adhering to health, safety, and regulatory standards. Identify opportunities to optimise processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to meet delivery targets and resolve challenges efficiently. To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Proven experience in logistics, despatch, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on freight forwarding. Expertise in customs regulations and international shipping laws. Understanding of various lifting equipment and safe handling practices. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to logistics and lifting operations. A track record of seizing opportunities to improve processes and create value. Strong organisational skills and a commitment to owning responsibilities from start to finish. A collaborative mindset to team up effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
