What to Expect
Supporting the Logistics department, you will work with personnel from both MTC and MPC. You shall also deal with external customers as part of our daily business. Stores functions, Quality, Transport drivers and Production to ensure material requirements for all model builds are satisfied in a timely and accurate manner.
What You'll Do
Managing production lineside inventory function for the logistics operation
Managing adherence to delivery schedules in line with production requirements
Continuously being aware of, and pro-actively addressing potential or actual shortages
Participating in Policy Deployment
Close liaison with other disciplines within the logistics organisation, as well as other departments especially Production, Warehouse and Quality
Minimising warehouse stock outs through the management of stock accuracy
Effective and accurate communication
Ensure health and safety standards are achieved on an ongoing basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety
Review, improve and administer the operating environment through establishing and maintaining housekeeping standards
Follow standard operating procedures and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques
PI - Stock Accuracy
Ensuring all discrepancies are dealt with swiftly and resolutely
To issue parts to the Production line on time, and collection of empty stillages/kanban boxes to be returned to stores for replenishment
To liaise with Production to ensure continued running of line, to respond to any queries regarding lineside shortages and replacement parts quickly and efficiently
Ensure issues are captured and communicated to the relevant department, and to escalate accordingly
To constantly monitor lineside stock accuracy, and resolve issues where necessary
To be responsible for relevant KPIs as advised
What You'll Bring
Detailed working understanding of Logistics and associated up and down stream processes
Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, especially automotive serial production
Applicants should be numerate, good communicators, IT literate with experience of using MRP, warehousing systems and SAP
Development and experience of key performance indicators
RCA of discrepancies
Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Flexible approach to working hours
