Vacancy: Logistics Project Professional - Transport Planner

Our logistics team is looking for a new colleague for the Logistics onsite support/transport planning for Siemens Mobility.
Location: Goole, UK
You'll make a difference by:
•Organise inbound and outbound transports for Siemens Mobility, various material fields
•Organise transport with contracted carriers based on agreed Rate Cards, taking care of necessary transport documentation & complete E2E delivery monitoring
•Communicate with internal departments (manufacturing, customs, warehouse, accounting etc.) and with external partners (carriers, custom brokers etc.)
•Take care of urgent deliveries, over-size transports & dangerous goods transports, costs calculation for special transports
•Work in logistics platform and SAP
•Be responsible for freight clearing tasks - logistics invoices verification, Rate Cards management, clarification of logistics costs-related issues with carriers
•Identify potential for process improvement and further process automation
•Maintain healthy business relations with carriers and customers
You're excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
•Relevant professional experience in international transport logistics
•Understanding of transportation and customs processes, knowledge of air, ground, and sea transport modes
•Knowledge of manufacturing process
•Knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
•Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system, experience with TMS is an advantage
•Ability to act on your own initiative
•Good communication & organisational skills
•German language knowledge is an advantage
•Experience in invoicing processes and in customs is an advantage
