Compass Point Recruitment is excited to be working with a family-run business in the FMCG sector. We are seeking a Logistics & Stock Controller to join a fast-paced environment who thrives on teamwork with a perfect blend of hands-on responsibilities and administrative duties.

This position offers the ideal mix for someone who has strong administrative & communication skills but doesn't want to be primarily office-based! As a Logistics & Stock Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site logistics, stock control & compliance functions while maintaining efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with lorry drivers and team members to ensure timely loading and dispatch of goods. Maintain up-to-date delivery documentation on in-house CRM system & paper filing system. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and colleagues, providing clear updates and instructions. Monitor driver schedules to facilitate smooth handovers and efficient loading & unloading. Conduct weekly stock takes and accurately log, track, and report transport operations using internal systems. Uphold strict health and safety standards, including compliance checks. Conduct product tests to ensure adherence to safety protocols (training will be provided).

Background & Experience: Experience in agriculture, farming, or a related industry is highly advantageous. Experience in distribution or logistics is highly advantageous. Strong administrative and numeracy skills. Ability to build professional relationships with lorry drivers, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Comfortable working with transport/logistics systems. Comfortable working at heights for compliance and safety checks. Knowledge of health and safety standards is essential. Forklift Truck (FLT) experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
