Based in a busy logistics department, you will be leading a team responsible for coordinating the supply chain and ensuring efficient operations within a precision aerospace industry.
Logistics Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise a team of logistics operators, ensuring that daily targets are met. Ensure that the logistics schedule is adhered to, in line with SOPs, work instructions, and Health and Safety requirements. Drive improvement initiatives such as 5S and TOC to optimize supply chain efficiency. Plan and allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity. Provide regular progress updates through work meetings. Conduct appraisals and establish training plans for team members. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations at all times. Review and implement improvements in manual handling and material flow procedures.
Logistics Supervisor Profile: Strong, proven experience leading a logistics or supply chain team within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing team performance and leading team meetings. Good knowledge of Risk Assessments and COSHH. Experience handling internal disciplinary matters. Logistics or supply chain qualification preferred but not essential.
