Could you be the Logistics Support Analysis (Design for Maintenance) Engineer to support the ISR projects including: HS2, Ref Sol 2, Scotrail & South Eastern Tenders (Bid support & Project Execution)? Your future role Take on a new challenge by being based in Derby and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Stuart Didwell (Head of ISR UK&I) and work alongside a dedicated and passionate team as the interlocutor with other Engineering and ISR functions (Technical Documentation, RAMS, Design Engineering, System architect and others) with the purpose of capturing all information that can influence the maintenance strategy. We’ll look to you to: Influence the Design for integration of the maintainability constraints (DfS: Design for Serviceability), including the requirements for Predictive Maintenance (PHM: Prognostics & Health Management) and consider all the aspects to be included to achieve Services Readiness in the design of the Equipment. Manage & execute LSA activities to deliver QCD commitments in coordination with the ISR Management plan. Identify the LCC performance in compliance with DFS targets. Define the maintenance plan and design of LSA elements (MTA, LCC, LORA, RCM). Capitalize data in the central ISR repository (ILS PDM). Write the LSA Management plan. Ensure technical interfaces with RS, Components, Signaling and Infra teams (RAMS Architect, mechanical, electrical & system architect, sourcing, LSA for equipment and from suppliers). Ensure that DFS is correctly applied on Sub System (Component Site). Ensure REX is collected and considered. Manage Definition of Logistic Breakdown Structure (LBS) in consistency with Design Engineering BOM definition. Elaborate maintenance plan. Elaborate LCC calculations and analyze. Manage relationship with procurement for ISR requirements. Ensure LSA database (ILS PDM) is defined and completed correctly. Ensure compliance between Spare Part consumption model and maintenance strategy. Validate content of the technical maintenance documentation. Promote usage of standard ISR practice compliant with international standard or Alstom central procedure and Method & Tool. Capitalize data to improve QCD on future projects. Strong experience in a previous similar role. Strong knowledge of UK Rolling stock maintenance – nice to have. Experience in Maintenance execution. Experience in Design for Serviceability & LSA engineering - desirable. Standard knowledge of the main LSA Elements (RAMS, LORA, RCM, LCC). Technically competent. Solid decision making and critical thinking. Strong team player.
