Transport & Logistics Planner
£36,940 plus bonus
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Working closely with existing transport subcontracts and bringing new subcontractors into the business; this role will be pivotal to enable the business to continue growing from strength to strength. You will work closely with existing customers and subcontractors while bringing on new customers and subcontractors.
Responsibilities: Ensuring loads are correctly exported/imported (know what codes/paperwork is required) Maintaining relationships with existing haulier partners/customers Regularly reviewing performance Bringing on new customers/hauliers/subcontractors into the business Resource/allocate loads on a daily basis achieving the best possible margin Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations Monitor delivery performance and notify customers of any delays Work to set targets in line with operational KPIs Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within TMS
Requirements: Have a background working within transport (Essential) Have a strong relationship with existing subcontractors (Desirable) Strong verbal and written communication skills Happy to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of procedures for export/import Good understanding of current market rates Good understanding of all required customs documents Focused and target-driven
