An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lounge Manager at the four red star Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in the heart of Sussex. This role will lead a dedicated professional team at this award-winning hotel and be part of the senior leadership team. The service offered from this department includes our Drawing rooms serving morning coffee, light lunches, and traditional delectable afternoon teas. Key Responsibilities To manage the complete operation and administration of the Lounge department. Be a constant presence and host within the Front Hall/Lounge area to greet guests, present menus, and take orders as required. Supervise all areas of guest service, ensuring the highest level of attention at all times. Set the standards in the Lounges in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Manager. Ensure the quality of food and beverage produce is of the highest standard at all times. Be an ambassador for Ashdown Park Hotel and promote all services and events to all guests. Imbed a sales philosophy within the departments to encourage up-selling at all times. Exercise control over food, beverages, and equipment to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly stock checks. Key Skills Polite and personable with excellent customer service skills whose aim is to ensure the team delivers exceptional hospitality and service to every guest. Proven track record of leading, training, developing, and mentoring a team to achieve our aim of delivering distinctly memorable experiences. Ability to support the team in building strong working relationships with residents, guests, and colleagues. Ability to plan and organise effectively by liaising with all other departments to ensure that service is seamless in the guests' eyes throughout the Lounge areas. Skilled in handling feedback effectively in the moment. Well-presented and impeccably groomed with a great eye for detail. Excellent communication skills with a good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Ability to remain calm under pressure. A positive personality and service with a smile.
