A large special educational needs college based in Croydon, which caters for students aged between 16 to 25 years old with Autism, SLD, and Complex Needs is looking for enthusiastic and resilient learning support assistants to join them ASAP. The successful learning support assistant will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. You will need: To be committed to providing support to learners with a range of needs, be flexible in your approach and be able to work as part of a team Excellent communication skills, along with patience and enthusiasm Previous experience with SEND is a requirement Understanding and experience using Makaton, PECs, and sensory approaches are advantageous but not essential This is a long-term role to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the next academic year (July).
