Lymphoedema-Tissue Viability Nurse - Band 6 Part time - 30 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist nurse/practitioner within the Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema Service. The post-holder will work collaboratively with the Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema team to provide a high quality, patient-focused service for patients presenting with Lymphoedema/chronic oedema and/or Tissue Viability issues. This will involve active participation in complex patient assessment and management and teaching both on a one-to-one basis, to groups and on formal study days. The post holder will join a small team of motivated, passionate clinicians. They will support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and use data to manage caseloads and monitor KPIs and clinical outcomes. Registered Nurse (Adult) Nursing Degree NMC SSSA Practice Assessor/Supervisor or equivalent Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Current NMC registration Accredited Tissue Viability course Accredited course in Leg Ulcer Management Chronic oedema course PGDip District Nursing Nurse Prescriber Management/leadership training Experience
Recent and proven experience in tissue viability/lymphoedema care and management, including: wound care, leg ulceration, chronic oedema Experience of working in a community healthcare setting Proven experience of nurse-led clinics Proven experience of teaching/supervision Experience of writing policies and procedures Experience of leadership in a lymphoedema/tissue viability setting Experience of planning and participating in audit cycles Skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to run and manage clinics Ability to support and participate in clinical audits Familiar with and understands the monitoring and achievement of KPIs in a healthcare setting Current UK Full, clean driving licence with daily access to a vehicle for work purposes (business class insurance will be required) EMIS literate.
