Got a flair for the complex? Buro Happold's Global IT team is looking for a M365 Engineer to join our vibrant and friendly team.

The role will be a mixture of hybrid working 2/3 days a week in our Bath office and the rest from home.

Role Overview

The M365 engineer role will work closely with the Global IT community and key business users and stakeholders. This role will join the M365 team and work alongside the lead administrator Digital Workplace Lead to design and deliver high quality solutions. They will engage with business stakeholders (‘clients’) to understand requirements, producing high level technical solution designs as well as define architectural topologies.

What will success look like?

The successful candidate will be diligent, results oriented and customer focused. They must be an effective communicator and build successful relationships with all key stakeholders. They will collaborate effectively with teams in Global IT and across the business to deliver high-quality solutions. The person filling this role will be an advocate for business process improvement and change.

Delivering technical implementations and championing M365-based solutions, embracing 'out of the box' functionality where possible. Design and delivery of SharePoint solutions, in line with business objectives, and designing new solutions or areas of the intranet. Attend regular meetings with the M365 and wider IT teams to manage the progress of incidents, continuous improvements and projects. Liaise with 3rd party Microsoft Business partners to help support the delivery of M365 products into the organisation. Actively contribute to the M365 team by knowledge sharing and supporting other team members. Required Skills

Strong understanding and knowledge of SharePoint architecture, configuration, and customer processes. Experience using PowerShell. Related Microsoft 365 certifications (or working towards). Experience in the development of PowerApps. Understanding of Power Platform, Azure, Power Automate and Dataverse. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience in managing Microsoft 365 projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope and schedule. Adept at conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Maintain excellent working knowledge of the M365 suite, and all required tools and products.
