Are you an experienced engineer or technician with expertise in GPS machine guidance systems gained within a bulk earthworks context? Join a dynamic team where your skills will directly contribute to innovative earthmoving projects on long-term, two high-profile Civil Engineering projects.

The Role In this specialist position, you'll optimise machine guidance systems on earthmoving plant including excavators, bulldozers, and graders, from installation to troubleshooting. You'll review and convert 3D models for construction, create temporary designs, and upload them via Works Manager. Additionally, you'll establish GNSS networks, set site control, and support Quality Assurance surveys.

Please note - The successful application should be prepared to work on site Monday to Thursday to be on hand to troubleshoot machine control issues and for this a substantial allowance is available to cover short-term accommodation.

Responsibilities Include: Collaborating with the Survey Manager on solutions for project delivery. Ensuring all machine guidance equipment runs smoothly. Creating and reviewing 3D models using Trimble Business Centre (stockpiles, ramps etc). Conversion of client supplied LandXML/dwg model files into Trimble Business Centre software and review the model for anomalies. Troubleshooting machine control equipment issues. Monitoring site operations and assisting with engineering solutions. Bucket checks and machine measure ups. Maintaining survey equipment and ensuring adherence to Health & Safety policies.

What We're Looking For: A proactive professional with strong organisational and teamwork skills. 3+ years' experience as a surveyor using machine control technology especially Trimble Earthworks. NHC or degree in surveying or equivalent (desirable). CSCS card, full UK driver's licence, and 4x4 training is provided.
