Machine Learning Engineer – AI Specialist

within our Technology division, you will be part of our dynamic team, focusing on implementing innovative data science solutions to drive significant changes in our operational efficiency. Utilizing techniques from Generative AI, Data Science and Machine Learning you will build and maintain the technical infrastructure for an exciting project that reshapes the future of our roadside operations and improves our customer experience. This role will be a

hybrid role , where you will spend two days in the office in

Bradley Stoke, Bristol

and three days at home. What You’ll Do… Analyse large datasets to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities for AI applications. Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models and generative AI systems. Build scalable and secure AI pipelines for model training, testing, and deployment. Preprocess and clean data to ensure high-quality inputs for machine learning models. Work closely with team members to explore and experiment with cutting-edge AI techniques. Monitor the performance of deployed models and ensure their reliability and scalability. What You’ll Need… Degree-level or equivalent qualification in computer science, data science, or a related field. Previous hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI applications (e.g., GPT, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion). Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes). Expertise in building and deploying scalable machine learning models. Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
