Are you a Safety Driven and self-motivated individual looking to work in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a leading organisation in the Slough area, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator (Slitter) to join their production team. This is a permanent position that offers excellent opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

Operating a variety of machinery in an efficient and safe manner. Running and maintaining the production of extrusion and coating lamination, including printing, while following strict safety and quality procedures. Slitting material produced from the laminators and extrusion machines into tapes according to customer requirements. Operating all production lines, providing support and cross-training to other team members. Processing material through the ERP Styeline system, ensuring accurate recording of data. Following all company-driven standard operating procedures and instructions.

Skills and Characteristics:

Safety Driven, conscientious, and confident. Basic numeric and literacy skills for accurate data recording. Ability to handle heavy equipment and use electric pump trucks. Strong focus on hitting production targets. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong multitasking skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Previous experience with quality systems is advantageous.

Benefits:

14.77 - 16.63 - depending on experience & includes shift allowance. 40 hour week, paid 37.5 hours (30 mins unpaid lunch). 3 rotating shifts 06.00 - 14.00, 14.00 - 22.00, 22.00 - 06.00. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for 2024). Parking. Progression opportunities.

Key Initiatives:

Adhere to our client's core values. Follow a 3-rotation shift pattern: Early (6am - 2pm), Lates (2pm - 10pm), Nights (10pm - 6am) Monday to Friday. Complete company-provided safety and quality training. Opportunity to train on 5 different slitters within the first 3 months. Qualified slitter operator on additional slitter within 12 months.
