Wed 12:00-18:00, Thu/ Fri 05:30-18:00 & Sat 05:30-18:00

We are looking for a

Leading Hand

to join our Abernethy Site. You will be responsible for assisting the Sizing Team Leader in day-to-day Sizing operations of our fresh potato factory. We are currently at an exciting time for the business, with new automation recently installed as part of our continuous improvement plans.

To be our next Leading Hand, you will need to be an excellent communicator and be confident using data systems. A valid counterbalance forklift license and previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. The role is varied and susceptible to change, examples of duties will include:

Celox Operations:

Be confident to set up and run the Celox in the team leader's absence, ensuring product meets customer specification and KPI targets. Escalating any issues to the Sizing & Intake Team Leader. Data:

Scanning of barcodes and uploading them onto our system to ensure efficient data trail. Planning:

Assisting with planning of daily Sizing operations to maximise crop yield, efficiency and uptime. In the Team Leader's absence, coordinating box movements and communicating. Quality Assessment:

Carry out routine checks on product to ensure it complies with customer specification, raising any issues to the Team Leader & Quality Team. Health & Safety:

Act as a role model for H&S, always exhibiting safe behaviours and adhering to site procedures. Compliance:

Ensure all members of the team are following standard operating procedures and that the working area complies with GMP audit standards.
