Machine / Slitter Operator

to join our winning team in York. The candidate of choice will produce a quality product in accordance with company and customer specifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate slitter efficiently and productively against set goals Loading and unloading of rolls on slitter Interpret and understand written information (orders, SOP’s, Lam. and print roll tickets etc.) Palletization (building pallets of finished goods per customer specifications) Bagging of finished rolls Quality checks on slit material

Lay flat/measurement of slit web Print quality/print defects Roll/web tension and integrity

Enter accurate information into computer and on production forms Print out and attach accurate labels to finished rolls Keep machine and surrounding area safe and clean Spot and determine visual defects Cut out defects and splice together good material Comply with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s

SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to):

Employee Health and Safety SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s
