Starting Salary circa £30,000 per annum

We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated and pro-active individuals to train as Machine Operators to work on our glass forming machines at our West Yorkshire sites in Leeds & Knottingley. The Company has recently seen a multimillion-pound investment, which includes the installation of new furnace technology, state of the art glass forming machines, automation and new employee facilities. This investment not only improves the overall working environment for our workforce, but also secures our long-term ability to grow as an organisation and keep up with the ever-increasing needs and demands of our customers.
As no specific qualifications or experience are necessary for this role, this is both an exciting and financially rewarding opportunity for anyone looking to change their career and gain new skills within a unique and sustainable industry. We offer a fully structured and well-established training plan which is designed to allow individuals to learn and develop at their individual pace. Training will start on days for a period of approximately 8 weeks, following which it will continue on shift, benefiting from one-to-one training with an allocated Trainer Operator. The role will suit individuals who have previously worked within a heavy industrial, 24-hour manufacturing environment, and have an aptitude for basic engineering; however, candidates from all backgrounds will be considered.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a satisfactory level of Maths and English, be a logical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and will be required to undertake the Company’s aptitude tests. The ability to work well under pressure, in what can be a difficult working environment, and prioritise your workload is also essential to this role, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and confidently, both written and oral, at all levels.

High earning potential starting salary whilst training is circa £30,000 per annum; once fully trained this will increase to a basic salary of between £38,000 and £41,000 per annum.
Overtime opportunities at both sites as well as the opportunity to work on larger machines which will provide higher machine bonus.
