Machine Service Engineer Required! Our client is a leading provider of advanced print finishing and packaging equipment, supplying high-performance machinery to various industries. We are recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained to the highest standards, both on and off-site. This role will involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of capital equipment. This is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm and Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm. Candidates should be within commutable distance to their site in Luton. Package: £31,000 - £35,000 (DOE) 23 days holiday + bank holidays Company van provided Company pension scheme Overtime available, overnight allowance Machine Service Engineer - Responsibilities: Provide remote and onsite technical service support, including installation, maintenance, and repair of print finishing and packaging machinery. Conduct machinery demonstrations and installations and deliver training to customers and partners, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults with minimal downtime, using advanced troubleshooting techniques. Build strong customer relationships, delivering a first-class service experience that fosters customer satisfaction and loyalty. Engage in technical problem-solving across multiple technologies, including mechanical hardware, electrical systems, and software-based troubleshooting. Effectively manage and control vehicle parts stock, ensuring maximum first-time fixes. Collaborate with overseas manufacturers and suppliers during site visits to understand and implement technical action plans. Assist the sales team with machine demonstrations at trade shows, customer events, and other promotional activities. Machine Service Engineer - Requirements: Relevant qualifications - mechanical/electrical Proven experience working with capital equipment Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including diagnostic and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and time management skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites Full & Clean UK Driving License
