Machine Setter – High Wycombe, Bucks
BlueGate has partnered with a busy High Wycombe manufacturing company looking to recruit a Machine Setter / Mechanic.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Machine Setter will be responsible for setting and maintaining packing machines/lines for specific tasks and maximum efficiency against stated target output. This role involves working on multiple lines and products, where no two days are the same.
This position is suited for a self-motivated and driven individual capable of working on his/her initiative with minimal supervision. The Machine Setter is responsible for ensuring the smooth and speedy transition of orders and maintaining accurate product quality before and after the machine and product are set and confirmed.
Job Requirements:
Complete tool changes and set-up on time.
Optimise cycle speeds ensuring quality specification is achieved.
Diagnose and correct running faults promptly.
Maintenance and general upkeep of the machines.
Assist the QC/QA Team in identifying issues and suggest corrective actions.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Relevant City and Guilds or a mechanical aptitude, or relevant engineering experience.
Machine setting experience.
Machine repairs experience.
Quality inspection experience.
Ability to work on time, to completion, and meet deadlines.
Experience in working towards targets/KPIs.
Required to work 8.00 – 14.00.
