Our client, a leading global engineering company based in Leicestershire, is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Machine Setter Operator to join their established team. The prime responsibility is to ensure that the product is manufactured according to the current production plan, undertaking regular checks to ensure that the product is made to the customer’s satisfaction. Check the daily schedule with the Production/Plant Manager and check ongoing activities from the previous shift. Operate lines on a daily basis to ensure all production orders are complete. Set up injection moulding machines for production and/or sampling as required by Supervisor or Works Orders to the company’s standard-setting procedures. Set up all tools and machines to the requirements of the Quality Control/Setting Sheet for the relevant job. Complete the relevant Production Control/Quality Control documentation and machine log books as necessary. Note any alterations to setting sheets. Ensure any processing or tooling faults are noted and communicated through the Job Card. Correct processing faults with injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment. Set up secondary work machines such as ultrasonic welders, drills, inserting machines, etc. Complete all relevant documentation neatly and correctly and ensure machines are running to the correct cycle. Ensure that any work you carry out on tools is done correctly and intelligently. Our Ideal Candidate:

Previous recent experience in plastic injection moulding. Able to commit to a permanent rotating shift. Experience working with Krauss Maffei machines would be a significant advantage. Good standard of English, written and verbal, is essential. Ability to use own initiative and able to work unsupervised once trained. Be flexible, reliable, and possess good time-keeping.
