The Flexible Pipe Systems business supplies specialist unbonded flexible subsea flowline and riser systems globally. Partner with the best

As a Machine Shop Technician (d/f/m), you will work within the machine shop team manufacturing internal parts for flexible pipe end fittings. You will operate and program CNC and manual lathes and milling machines. You will also support production engineering in manufacturing bespoke designs. As a Machine Shop Technician (d/f/m), you will be responsible for: Reading and checking Engineering Drawings Following written SOI, COI’s along with verbal instructions with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with engineers and management Managing to reverse engineer supplied parts (for rework/replacement purposes) Using a range of machining equipment and power tools like manual & CNC lathes and milling machines Using a range of machining equipment and power tools like surface grinding/bench fitting Demonstrating and collaborating with creative ideas for more effective working practices Taking an active lead on incorporating safety improvements, lean improvements, and Kaizen improvement Taking a lead on HSE, always following the Baker Hughes safety culture

To be successful in this role you will: Have successfully completed your Vocational Training as a Mechanical Technician/Tool Maker; apprenticeship graduates are equally welcome Be experienced in Microsoft Office and able to learn new technology and software quickly Have a safety-focused attitude Be able to operate overhead cranes (training will be provided)
