Purpose of the Role: Working as part of the machine shop team you will support Manufacturing Engineering and our Machinists to ensure efficient production by building and pre-setting tooling assemblies and preparing machines. The role encompasses machine operation, measuring, hand finishing and packing of a wide variety of the highest quality components for our racing cars. Your support will allow us to deliver projects and upgrades to our race cars and push the limits of performance at every race. Role Dimensions: Reporting to the Machining Team Leader(s) and or Shift Lead(s), it is your responsibility to ensure the tooling vending machine is appropriately managed and tooling assemblies are built, pre-set and delivered on time and in full whilst working to best practice and embracing continuous improvement to meet the overarching strategic vision for the department. The role demands a skilled, diligent, and agile person that works well as part of the team and is target driven. Principal Accountabilities: Dispense and re-stock our tooling vending system to enable spindle tooling assemblies to be built and set using a pre-setter as prescribed by the set-up sheet Machine preparation to encompass the removal and set-up of jigs and fixtures, spindle tooling and the operation of multi-axis CNC machine tools Assist in job pack preparation for Machine tools, including material preparation when required Support our metal stores to prepare and deliver raw material ready for machining Assist our Team Leader(s) and or Shift Lead(s) in managing the workflow of the shop Maintain Inspection and tooling records for all components produced Contribute to the cleanliness and housekeeping in the workplace

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Ideally a craftsperson or semi-skilled technician with previous experience in operating CNC machine tools Previous experience in manufacturing small batch precision components, preferably in a motorsport, aerospace, or similar environment The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings Keen eye for detail and posse a high level of manual dexterity for deburring / tapping, etc. Experience of sympathetic component handling and packing Knowledge and experience of basic Microsoft products, such as Word and Excel Previous experience in document creation and record keeping would be beneficial Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills – verbal and written Able to adopt a professional and mature attitude to work and other people Energetic, enthusiastic, and highly self-motivated Proactive approach to improving the way we work Able to remain composed and professional under pressure Team player – supports other team members, department strategies and processes as a whole Determined – results focused, driven to do the very best possible Respectful What McLaren can offer?
