Hanningfield are currently recruiting for a machinist to join our family business.
We are a Southend-based machinery manufacturer looking for an experienced CNC mill-turn operator, who is also capable of manual milling and turning.
Experience:
Manual turning / milling: 3 years (preferred) CNC operator: 3 years (preferred) About the Role:
CNC Duties Setting and running a CNC mill-turn Interpretation of engineering drawings High quality, high tolerance, small batch Quality control Manual Turning Working to toleranced engineering drawings for the manufacture of low volume stainless parts. Manual Milling Operating manual Bridgeport mill. Working to toleranced engineering drawings for the manufacture of low volume stainless parts. Other Material Prep – sawing of billets ready for machining, clearing swarf, topping up coolant etc. Bench Fitting – basics such as marking out, drilling, sawing and filing. Housekeeping – ensure a tidy, safe and organised work environment. Hanningfield is a family run business employing approximately 45+ employees. We specialise in the design and manufacture of process machinery originally intended for the pharmaceutical industry; however, our niche industry expertise has also taken us into other industries including food, chemical, nuclear and cosmetics. Willing to take instruction and be trained to achieve a high standard of fitting in line with Hanningfield’s expectations Willing to work as part of a team and to tight deadlines Willing to get involved and hit the ground running Willing to travel at times to attend site related work Job Type:
